The Ancients Photo Directory - helping you choose the best figures for your Ancients armies. Over 4,000 photos of 15mm ancients figures including painting by fantastic professional painters and photos from manufacturers websites. The directory is organised in the same way as the original set of FoG Army List Books (sorry, I can't now change it!), with listings for almost every army. You can also search the directory by manufacturer, army or keyword

Anyone can rate the figures just by clicking on the stars beneath each photo. Ratings use a scale of 0-5 where 5 = excellent and 0 = terrible.

Emeshi warriors271 viewsFrom Baueda - pictures used with kind permission of the manufacturer. These figures are heavy Emishi foot archers, they had a reputation for being fierce warriors ready to charge in hand to hand combat as well as archers, and these wear suitable armour and weapons for the job! They represent elite warriors from the areas closer to Yamato Japan and are best suited for the later period, as General's guard irregular Bw(S), as dismounted horse archers irregular Bw(O) and cam also be mixed in for variety with irregular Bw(I). They are primarily intended to be used in DBM list 6 book III Emishi 500AD - 1100AD, list 7 Book III Pre-Samurai Japanese 500AD - 900AD or as allies for list 54 Book III Early Samurai 900AD - 1300AD
