The Russian Artillery Museum!

It's in St Petersburg, its got lots of toys, its open from 11am until 5pm and costs 200 roubles to get in, with an extra 100 roubles for taking photos. Almost everything in it is painted the same shade of green, and I managed to photograph as much of it as I could manage in one trip.

All the signs are in Russian - so as you will see, I am rather guessing with many of the captions. However working on the basis of "if you don't know what it is, assume its a 76mm gun from 1939-45" you will be pretty safe.

If you do know what something is (or can read Russian)  drop me a line and with the page and picture number and I will try and get round to updating the legend.

All the pics were taken with my Pentax Optio 430s digital camera at a 1024 x 768 resolution, using the setting that adjusts for the actual light conditions and no flash - so hopefully the colours are true to life (ish). All are here as thumbnail images - click on them to get the full size picture in anew window.

Most (but not all) of the images have been slightly reduced so as to give sensible loading times, and some of the less good quality ones have been reduced more significantly, some have been artificially lightened to work on screen, and some have been cropped to cut out too much background.
