The site is hosted by Zen Internet who seem very good - their online tech support has always been helpful to me when I need it, and so I'd fully recommend them if you want a reliable ISP and hosting service

The adverts on this site (for Amazon, eBay, Google & others) are Affiliate Marketing and earn me small amounts of money each time you click on an advert or then go on to buy something. I'm not getting rich on it, and I do it partly to offset the cost of hosting the site, and partly because by adding in relevant links it helps make the site more interesting and useful. Anyways, if you buy anything through links from this site it won't cost you any more than if you bought it direct from Amazon or eBay - so it should be no skin off your nose.

The Ads by Google include Google's new DoubleClick DART cookie which allows Google to serve up ads on this site based on the types of other sites you visit where Google may have tracked you (the information they collect does not include your name, address, email address or telephone number, in fact they don't identify users personally or use personally identifiable information to display interest-based ads - you are just lumped into a group of "surfing fans" or "potholers" and they serve relevant ads on that basis). This essentially means you may see adverts on this site which relate to your work, or other hobbies and interests in addition to ones about wargaming, moddeling and history. I am NOT tracking your general internet usage, and I do NOT have access to this information, it's all a Google thing. The very clever sidebars on this site that pull in information from Amazon, eBay and other places are all generated using the incredibly wonderful CaRP RSS to HTML converter. Adding RSS feeds to the site is meant to help with getting higher search engine placement. They even have a great support forum!

The 10mm & 15mm photo directories run on more FREE software called Coppermine. which is very clever as well, and is quite easy to set up, as long as your ISP gives you an SQL database. The WIKI runs on TikiWiki, which again is free.
