Very Quick Summary: The knights didn’t know whether to dismount or stay mounted against the dual threat of Christian Knights and Berber spearmen. Getting to take two choices in this paper-scissors-stone game gave the Berber general a rather decisive advantage in threw in the Christians and they rode down the dismounted Portuguese. Meanwhile a wall of spears ran over the bowmen. 10-0

Very Quick Summary: The Christians went down the middle targeting blades, outpaced the rest of the Berber line, got threatened in the flank by LH and lost control very quickly. The blades facing them also lost control and counter-charged whilst the LH had to withdraw under pressure from Berber spears. Both the Christian and the blade commands fought without meaningful external intervention and both ended up dead. 8 Cm (S) were clearly hiding in one of 2 large dunes, so the Berbers built a wall of supported spear in front of both and sat and waited until the camels got impatient and came out. They all died very quickly. 9-1.

Very Quick Summary: With the table cluttered by H(S) the Hsiung Nu Kn (F) attacked the Berber CinC in a gap between two hills whilst the Kn (X) command dithered with insufficient pips to definitely decide whether to go and support them or to attack elsewhere. The Hsiung Nu nearly broke through, but the Christians in reserve rode to the rescue and the melee swung turned back in favour of the Berbers. The Hsiung Nu CinC’s command was broken with only 0.5 Berber CinC elements to spare as they had caught some unwary LH and auxilia to tip the command over the edge of defeat. Nothing else had time to happen, 8-2 to the Berbers.

Very Quick Summary: With Standard Patsy terrain laid on top of a Berber river the Romans planned to redeploy quickly to gang up on the Christians and go for taking them out and settling for a 6-4 win. The Christians had in fact deployed on the short side of the river (which turned out to be tricky) to do an outflanking manoeuvre and so were out of danger anyway. They then were able to use a Roman-positioned ford (which a rapid initial Berber advance immediately transformed into a Berber ford!) to cross back into safety after luring a handful of Romans to get stuck whilst attempting their crossing. Berber spears pressed across the full width of the (non-river) table and nearly managed to push the Roman CinC off the table on the opposite edge, only being denied by some well drilled contraction and expansion moves by panicked auxilia. The Berbers captured the Roman town fairly early on, but then forgot about it in the final casualty totting up which ended in a 5-5, 16-16 draw so I might have diddled myself out of a point. However we still ended up coming 2nd, winning this magnificent trophy
