My Big fat greek wargame !
I'd chosen the Communist Italian army I had won in Roma, and hoped to conjure some sort of decent list out of it. Having submitted it I checked its previous performance on Alex Meyers excellent website, and was somewhat concerned to see it had never placed above the bottom 1/3rd of any competition ... out of 11 attempts.... and had been in the bottom 3 on almost half of those occasions !

However this made my objectives for the weekend clear - attempt to achieve a "top 2/3rds" placing, and also find out what WWg (X) actually do under the rules.
My list was optimized for, erm,
- Using as many as possible of the troops I had won and then painted,
- Deploying 6 WWg (X) to confuse people into thinking I had a cunning plan
- Turing some of them sideways, as I'd got the spikey bits on moveable 40x40 bases that could be detached from the main 80x40 base... cool, huh?
- Fielding the 22 spearmen in 3 separate the City State specific groups I had painted them up to represent (2 x 8 and 1 x 6 - the other 6 were dragooned in from my "generic" medieval spearmen team to make up numbers).

It was a 2 list competition, but this was the main list I used in 4 of the 5 games.
