100%Not really knowing what to do with our newly painted army, we set about attacking the Serbs with our own Kn (S), and attempting to avoid the Bw (S) with our smaller Kn block and chew up the CinC's cavalry force on one wing, and crush a Bw (I) force with our own artillery and spears on the other..

 

Here the Teutons clash with the Serbs in the center of the battlefield, as the uncommitted Wallachians look on.

 

Ottoman Cv are scared of Teuton Kn (S)This must look good, surely ? 

But it didn't, and as our Teutons failed to beat a slightly smaller force of Serbs, our left wing threw away this very promising position and lost its general - followed by us failing to score a 5 or 6 in 3 regular pip dice, thus losing the command.  

Eventually we lost in the middle as well - game over 0-10.

The Ghurid walking wall anchored itself on a vast tract of woodland, and extended across the table as Teutonic knights massed on the flank and the artillery and Bruder spearmen teed up to have a go at some freelance demolition work. 

The Ghurid Lh & Cv attempted to avoid combat as long as possible, quite rightly, but artillery and Reg (O) spearmen were soon proving that PkX/I aren't actually as clever as they think they are, despite fabulous painting. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Eventually the combination of losses on the main command plus the inability of the Ghurid Cv & Lh to escape from, and then stand up to the Brother Knights expired - game over, 10-0 to The Sausage Eaters from The North!!

100%This time we had learnt our lesson and avoided the Serbs and left a huge hole in the middle of our army to face them with. 

With only 2 Bw (S) in the Ottoman army soon we were fighting Cv with Kn (S) - and a rather satisfying crunching sound was the chief result, as the Serbs ambled forwards looking for a target.

Unfortunately for the Ottoman CinC being incredibly well painted proved no substitute for lacking a large shield, and as his command was battered by a wave of Sword Bretheren he was shot off his horse by an arbalester!

Ouch!

The game ended 10-0 with the ottoman cavalry muttering darkly about a need to review the pay scales for them relative the the rather uninterested Serbian allies....

Well, we tried manfully to shoot down Pk (I) and Sp with Bw and Art (S), and manufactured a number of opportunities for Kn )S_ to wade into double overlapped dismounted feudal Sp (S) with supporting psiloi... but all to no avail. 5-5
